Hampshire Care Association (HCA) is helping connect members with Connect to Work Hampshire, a fully funded employment programme designed to help employers recruit new talent, strengthen their workforce and support staff to remain in work.
Recruitment and retention remain significant challenges for adult social care providers. Connect to Work offers another way for care services to reach potential employees, including people who may face barriers to employment because of a disability, health condition or other complex circumstances.
Delivered locally by Hampshire County Council with specialist employment support partners, the programme uses a Place, Train and Maintain approach. It provides personalised support to help people find suitable work and gives both employers and employees ongoing assistance to help make employment sustainable.
What could Connect to Work offer your service?
The programme provides free support for employers, including:
Recruitment support: Help identifying potential candidates whose skills and aspirations match your vacancies.
Access to local talent: Connect with people who may bring valuable skills, experience and motivation to your service.
Inclusive recruitment guidance: Practical advice to help you create an inclusive workplace and consider appropriate workplace adjustments.
Support with retention: Assistance for employees who may be at risk of losing their job because of a health condition, disability or other barriers.
Ongoing in-work support: Continued help for both the employer and employee after someone starts work.
