We are delighted to share that Hampshire Care Association recently hosted senior representatives from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), showcasing the outstanding work taking place across our local care sector.
The visit recognised Hampshire as one of the leading areas in the country for digital adoption in adult social care and provided an opportunity to demonstrate how technology is improving outcomes for people receiving care, supporting staff and helping providers deliver safer, more responsive services.
Importantly, this recognition belongs to you our members. Hampshire's success has been made possible by the willingness of providers across Hampshire, Southampton and Portsmouth to embrace innovation and work collaboratively with partners across the health and care system.
During the visit, colleagues from DHSC saw examples of Technology Enabled Care Services in action, met a resident benefiting from these approaches and heard how digital tools are supporting wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
As your membership organisation, Hampshire Care Association has worked closely with providers, NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board and national partners to support the implementation of the Government's Digitising Social Care programme.
We hope the visit highlighted the important role that local Care Associations can play in ensuring national programmes translate into meaningful improvements for frontline services and the people they support.
Thank you for your continued engagement, commitment and willingness to innovate. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of providers across our region.
