Yesterday, Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced proposals to reform adult social care in England, launching a national conversation with the sector and cross-party engagement on the future of social care.

Following the announcement, our Chair, Michael Crutchley, was invited to speak on BBC Radio Solent's Drivetime programme and BBC South Today, sharing the perspective of Hampshire Care Association members and the experiences, challenges and priorities of care providers across Hampshire.

The interviews provided an opportunity to ensure that the voice of the sector was part of the wider public conversation, highlighting the realities of delivering care and the importance of involving providers as plans for reform continue to develop.

As discussions progress, Hampshire Care Association will continue to work with members, partners and stakeholders to ensure the experiences and expertise of care providers help inform the future of adult social care.
