Awards

As part of our ongoing work to strengthen HCA's governance and ensure that our processes are open, transparent and fair to all members, the Board recently reviewed our approach to sponsorship of the Hampshire Care Awards.

Each year, we are approached by organisations interested in supporting the Awards. This year, a small number of care providers have also asked whether they are able to become sponsors.

Historically, these opportunities have arisen through individual conversations. However, the Board felt that this approach was no longer appropriate. If sponsorship opportunities are available to care providers, then every provider should have the same opportunity to express an interest.

We therefore wanted to let all members know that, for the 2026 Hampshire Care Awards, our Bronze and Donation Packages are now available to any care provider who wishes to support the event.

We also want to be equally clear about what this is not.

There is absolutely no expectation or obligation for members to sponsor the Awards. We fully recognise the financial pressures facing adult social care providers and our relationship with you as members is not dependent on sponsorship in any way. This communication is simply about ensuring openness, consistency and equal access to an opportunity that providers have asked us about.

To protect the integrity and independence of the Awards, the Board has also agreed that care providers will not be able to sponsor individual award categories. As you know, our judging process is conducted independently and anonymously, and we believe this approach is the right one to avoid any actual or perceived conflicts of interest.
