Art and Dementia community learning sessions - two time slots available

Veterans Dementia Support UK specialises in supporting Armed Forces Veterans, Merchant Navy Veterans, Emergency Services personnel, and their families. 

Veterans Dementia Support UK work closely with care homes to create a welcoming, familiar and reassuring environment for veterans, helping reduce anxiety, improve wellbeing, and strengthen identity and confidence.

Proud to be working with The Wallace Collection and The Point Theatre in Eastleigh to deliver a series of Art and Dementia community learning sessions, these sessions bring selected artworks and artefacts from the world‑famous Wallace Collection directly to Hampshire, offering creative engagement and gentle, supported art‑based reminiscence.

Each event has a different theme, with artworks selected to:

• inspire conversation
• creativity and gentle reminiscence
• include hands‑on creative activities and a collaborative artwork created by attendees

Times: Choose between 11am to 12.30pm, or 2pm to 3.30pm

Venue: The Point, Eastleigh

Cost: Free of charge 

Eligibility: Open to care homes wishing to bring residents for a meaningful cultural experience

The art sessions are also open to the wider community who have an interest in art or if you want to come and experience one yourself.
